Oprah Winfrey tops the list of highest paid stars on US televisionTalk show queen Oprah Winfrey has topped a list of the highest paid stars on US television, earning £130 million between June 2006 and June 2007.
Coming in at a distant second was American Idol judge Simon Cowell, who pulled in £22.5 million thanks to the show and other projects.
The third spot on the list went to Judith Sheindlin, who raked in £15 million for her own syndicated court show, Judge Judy, reports the Daily Mail.
According to the list in the US issue of TV Guide magazine, the top five was rounded off by CBS Evening News Anchor Katie Couric and Scrubs star Zach Braff, who earned £7.5 million, and £3.15 million respectively.
