Rain prevents play in Chittagong

First Test, Chittagong, day three (no play): India 384-6 v Bangladesh

India were denied the chance to build on their commanding first innings total against Bangladesh because of heavy rain in Chittagong.

India were set to start day three of the first Test on 384-6 but play was abandoned before a ball was bowled.

Mahindra Dhoni (36) and Anil Kumble (1) will hope for better weather on Monday, but the forecast is not promising.

Just 20 overs were possible on Saturday during which Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly completed centuries.

The first day's play was also reduced because of rain, and the third limited-overs match between Bangladesh and India was washed out on Tuesday.
